I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of .   Eventually I came to see that living prophets and apostles, like the Book of Mormon, 8 are essential in God’s plan to unify His family in Christ. As President Henry B. Eyring taught: “The ministry of the apostles and prophets in [ancient days], as it is today, was to bring the children of Adam and Eve to a unity of the faith in Jesus Christ.

As we place our faith in Jesus Christ, becoming His obedient disciples, Heavenly Father will forgive our sins and prepare us to return to Him. The Apostle Peter preached that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts ; see also Mosiah ). Unity of the Faith. No other foundation can any man lay than that which has been laid; namely Jesus Christ. The WORD of God is our foundation for all matters of doctrine and practice. How we walk is based solely on the scriptures, the teachings of the apostles and prophets, the Lord Jesus Himself, and the Spirit of Truth who bears witness to. Unity in the Body of Christ - I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your.
